In the media

CEnREP affiliates’ research and extension activities highlighted this summer in national and regional media outlets.

Harrison Fell, associate professor of agricultural and resource economics and CEnREP interim director, Jane Harrison, NC Sea Grant coastal economics specialist and CEnREP affiliate, and Nick Kuminoff, associate professor of economics at Arizona State University and CEnREP alumni, were recently featured in WIRED magazine, JDNews.com and The Washington Post.

Harrison was interviewed for and quoted in an article in the August issue of WIRED magazine regarding the EPA’s recent proposal to regulate carbon dioxide emissions from power plants.

Jane’s extension work with North Carolina coastal communities’ adaptation to climate change and its potential economic impacts of it was featured in a JDNews.com August article.

And last but not least, a National Bureau of Economic Research working paper published in August by Nick and his co-authors on the effect of air pollution on dementia was featured in a September Washington Post article.
