New course in Rural Economic Development, offered by CEnREP affiliate in the 2018 Maymester.

The department of Agricultural and Resource Economics is offering Rural Economic Development (ARE 495), a new course taught by CEnREP affiliate Jane Harrison, who is a coastal economics specialist with NC Sea Grant.  In this 2018 Summer term 1 course, students will learn about economic development in rural, eastern North Carolina over three weeks. The course will integrate the fields of economics, sociology, business, and natural resource management, with a classroom and field trip component.
