CEnREP affiliate faculty and associate professor of agricultural and resource economics, Harrison Fell, recently wrote an article for the NC State Economist on electricity generation trends in North Carolina. In the article, Harrison discusses the market forces and policies that are driving rapid changes in electricity generation. His article also examines how some recent policy developments and the possible construction of the Atlantic Coast pipeline may affect North Carolina’s energy future, including the state’s types of electricity generation, the state’s high level of installed solar capacity, and natural gas.
