Joining CEnREP’s group of researchers is Dr. Rajan Parajuli of NC State University. Parajuli is an assistant professor and extension specialist of forest economics and management with Forestry Extension in the College of Natural Resources. He received his Ph.D. in forest economics and policy, an M.S. in forest economics and management and another M.S. in finance from Louisiana State University. Parajuli specializes in forest product market modeling, forest products trade and policy analysis, economic impact analysis, carbon and bioenergy markets and forest finance. Before joining NC State, Parajuli was a forest economist at Texas A&M Forest service where he worked in timber price reporting, timberland taxation, and economic impact assessment of the forest sector.
Parajuli commented: “My applied research and Extension program revolves around the sustainable management of natural resources for economic development. I look forward to collaboration and networking with CEnREP colleagues in various aspects of natural resource economics, management and policy.”
