Faculty hiring in the Sustainable Energy Systems and Policy cluster completed.
The Chancellor’s Faculty Excellence Program in Sustainable Energy Systems and Policy (SESP) at NC State has been completed. The Chancellor’s Faculty Excellence Program was launched in 2011 to hire new faculty in a range of academic disciplines and give them the support to tackle global issues. CEnREP Director, Laura Taylor and Associate Professor of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering, Joe DeCarolis, led and were awarded a proposal in 2015 to hire faculty at NC State in the theme of sustainable energy systems and policy. The hiring of four new faculty was finalized in Spring 2017.
The SESP cluster includes two CEnREP Affiliated Faculty: Harrison Fell, Associate Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Christopher Galik, Associate Professor of Public Administration. Newly hired this academic year are Jeremiah Johnson, Associate Professor of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering, and Wenyuan Tang, Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
