Bob Abt named Carl Alwin Schenck Professor in Forestry.
With an outstanding record of accomplishment in research and teaching in forest economics, Bob Abt, Professor of Natural Resource Economics and Management and CEnREP Affiliate, was recognized with the Carl Alwin Schenck Professor in Forestry.
Bob is Co-Director of the Southern Forest Resource Assessment Consortium (SOFAC), which develops models to project timber inventory, supply and prices across the southern United States. His research interests include bioenergy policy and forest management, economics of agroforestry and econometric applications in forestry.
A reception to honor and celebrate Bob’s appointment will be held on May 3. Congratulations Bob!
