Harrison Fell, associate professor and former CEnREP leader, is taking a one year leave of absence from NC State to join the Center for Global Energy Policy (CGEP) in the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University.
CGEP is a world-renowned center in the field of energy policy and the goal of their research outputs is to be directly relevant to current energy and environmental policy debates and to be useful to policy makers in crafting and implementing sound, data-driven legislation. At CGEP, Fell will be more intricately involved with the important domestic and international public policies debates related to energy and the environment. Fell’s research, at the intersection of energy and environmental economics, is timely and with the presidential administration poised to introduce large-scale policy changes, Fell will be ideally placed to provide research that provides answers and solves problems.
Roger von Haefen, a longtime CEnREP affiliate who actively contributes to nonmarket valuation research on coastal natural resources, will serve as the Interim Director of CEnREP until a permanent director is recruited next year.
