Dr. Harrison is the Coastal Economics Specialist for North Carolina Sea Grant, an inter-institutional program of the UNC System administered at NC State University. NCSG conducts research, outreach, and education on coastal and marine topics. Jane’s research interests focus on the intersection of economic development and natural resource management. Her recent efforts include an assessment of North Carolina’s “blue” economy and extension activities with the state’s fishing and marine aquaculture industries.
