Dr. Edwards is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics at NC State. He works on the economics of water resource management, and the management of natural resources generally. Applications in the water realm have included conservation, markets, groundwater management, urban water pricing, climate change, irrigation, and ecosystem services. His research has been funded by the USDA and National Science Foundation and included interdisciplinary collaborations with scientists, engineers, and legal scholars. He conducts work in a number of locations including California, Kansas, Alaska, Chile, and Australia. The focus of his extension program is on the economics of water conservation, innovative water markets, user management of agricultural water issues, and urban water price structures.
