David Solis is a research associate at Instituto del Peru and a Ph.D. student in Forestry and Environmental Resources at NC State University. His current research focuses on impact evaluation of forest public policies in Peru and REDD+ projects around the globe, including two projects in Peru on timber and non-timber forest product incomes. He is also working on modeling women’s well-being perception change in a context of REDD+ project implementation. Other research interests in using geospatial models to forecast natural events such as wildfires in the U.S.
